Use Pagoda Marquee Party Tentes to Throw the Perfect Garden Party

Garden Party - The Perfect Option

Garden parties are the perfect option for hostesses who wish to host an informal gathering for friends and family. These outdoor get-togethers are far less formal when compared to sit-down dinners or cocktail parties. This makes them one of the best methods for a new host or hostess to test the waters.

As the name suggests, a garden party is held outside, generally in the host’s backyard or garden should they have one. However, those living in apartments need not worry. Rooftop parties are the city variant of the garden party and are a perfect option for apartment dwellers.

Perfect Time for Garden Party

Depending on your convenience, and that of your guests, decide on a time for your party. Anytime from mid-morning to about three in the afternoon is perfect for starting the get-together. Factoring in about three to four hours of entertaining, this will still enable you to wind up events before dusk.

Next, decide on a convenient date for your party. Try to choose a weekend or a holiday so that it doesn’t end up clashing with anyone’s work hours. RSVP your invitations at least two weeks in advance. It is highly impolite to leave your party invitations till the last minute, no matter how close a guest is to you and your family. Ideally, formal invitations are sent by post. These days though, most people prefer to email. Never invite people though an SMS, its very bad form. Call them and extend the invitation personally before sending off an email with the details of venue, timing etc.

Tentes for Garden Party

Since a garden party is an outdoor affair, purchase party tents for the occasion. In France “tents” are referred as “tentes” and they are quite popular option for hosting Garden parties. These airy structures add the perfect touch of elegance to your party and also helps create a cozy shelter for guests to gather in.

The pagoda marquees [French word: chapiteaux] for example have a charming pointed roof and PVC side and end walls that can be pulled back or allowed to fall free according to your preference. Even when the walls are fully extended, the marquee still retains an airy charm because of the multiple French windows that break up the fabric. Add some wrought iron garden tables and chairs and your décor’s ready.

For food, stick to finger foods and tiny sandwiches that guests can easily manage without knives or forks. Have plenty of light juices or mock-tails on hand and you’re all set to welcome your guests with a smile.
